Closing the Bones with Geet Fateh

A sacred ceremony of holding, release & return to self.

Come Home to Your Body

There are seasons when we carry so much—birth and loss, endings and beginnings, love and grief. Closing the Bones is a deeply nourishing ceremony that wraps you in safety, honours your story, and invites your body to soften back into wholeness.

What is Closing the Bones?

Rooted in traditional midwifery, Closing the Bones is a ceremonial sequence of gentle abdominal massage, rhythmic rocking, and rebozo (woven cloth) wrapping. It brings the body and energy back “in,” creating containment, closure, and profound nervous system rest.
This ceremony meets you where you are—postpartum or years later, after abortion or miscarriage, through transition and grief, or simply when you long to feel held.

Who it’s for:

  • Postpartum—days, months, or years later
  • After miscarriage, abortion, or fertility journeys
  • During transition: menopause, separation, burnout, life change
  • When you feel scattered, depleted, or “open” and want to feel contained
  • For anyone ready to be witnessed, nourished, and restored

What you’ll experience

  • A softly lit, sacred space with altar, flowers, candles, and incense
  • Intake & intention setting, with gentle breath to arrive
  • Grounding touch and abdominal massage (with consent)
  • Rebozo wrapping of key areas to create deep safety and containment
  • Stillness for integration, then a gentle unwinding and closing blessing

Most people leave feeling: grounded, lighter, centred in their power, and lovingly “gathered” back to themselves.

Variations I Offer

  • Individual Ceremony (90–120 min)
  • Group Ceremony / Women’s Circle (intimate numbers; shared field of support)
  • For Men (a rare space to be held, regulate the nervous system, and release)
  • For Children (ultra-gentle, soothing, consent-led, co-regulating)

FAQs

Is it only for postpartum?

No. It supports any threshold—birth, loss, transition, or when you feel energetically “open.”

Can I come years after birth or abortion?

Yes. The body keeps the story until it’s witnessed. It’s never too late to receive.

What if I’m tender around touch?

Everything is consent-based, choice-led, and adjustable. Your pace sets the pace.

What should I expect afterward?

Deep calm, clarity, and a felt sense of being “gathered.” Gentle self-care is recommended for 24–48 hours.

On Saturday, the lovely Geet Fateh came to my home to carry out her practice of ‘Closing the Bones Ceremony,’ she explained in great detail of where, when, and how these rituals were performed. Having this done was amazing, and I feel that everyone, women, men and even children should encounter the experience.
I felt safe, heard, loved and the rebozos held me tight, closing my body physically and energetically.
I now feel aligned, free and like my old self again.
Thank you for your amazing gift in this life, always gratefully received. 🙏🥰😘

I recently had a pregnancy termination which was a very vulnerable and hard decision to make.

I received a closing the bones ceremony from Geet and it was so much deeper than I thought. I went in without any expectations besides the intention of wanting to get closure with the abortion.
This ceremony felt much deeper than this intention. The way Geet conducted the journey made me feel incredibly safe and held. The space was beautifully organised.
It was so beautiful to feel how the wraps and the way she was using them to massage and shift energy was deeply felt. I could feel how my energy was returning back to my center very viscerally.
The journey was a homecoming back to my own heart and my own body. It was a rebirth into this next chapter of my life having had the possible invitation to be a mother and consider what that even is and anchor that into my body.
I felt as though I got gently carried through a portal welcoming me back into this next doorway of my journey. As a freshly newborn being.

I am deeply grateful I got to be held and supported in this way.

I highly recommend and trust Geet and her hands. Thank you so much for your kind, deeply loving heart.

I had the deep honour of receiving a Closing of the Bones ceremony from the beautiful and powerful Geet Fateh Kaur. From the moment we began, I felt gently held within a sacred space that was both incredibly nurturing and fiercely protective. Geet’s presence is one of quiet strength and deep devotion – the kind that invites you to truly surrender into what needs to be seen, felt, and released.

During our session, I was invited to meet myself in silence, and allow whatever for calling for healing to rise. A long-standing internal barrier emerged, one my shadow had built and fiercely guarded for many years in the name of protection. With Geet’s attuned holding, I was able to lean into the discomfort and fully explore what lay beneath. It was not easy, but it was safe – and in that safety, I found the courage to soften, to listen, and to open.

What unfolded was a profound unravelling. Not only in the ceremony itself, but in the weeks that followed. I experienced a significant shift in my body and in my being – as if a tightly bound thread had loosened, allowing greater flow, clarity, and spaciousness within. It felt like something ancient had been acknowledged and laid to rest, and with it, came a renewed sense of wholeness.

This is sacred work and Geet is a true guardian of this medicine. Her intuitive knowing, her reverence for the body and spirit, and her ability to walk you right to the edge of your healing – while keeping you utterly safe – is nothing short of extraordinary.

If you are feeling the call to receive this rite of passage, to be witnessed in your vulnerability, and to reconnect with parts of yourself long forgotten or hidden… I cannot recommend Geet Fateh enough. Her work is soul work. And it stays with you.

About your facilitator:

Here’s me Geet Fateh Kaur and Pura Vida Your Life, what I do today is a world away from the 27 years I spent working in Human Resources in the Corporate world and building my own HR Consultancy.

I have been on quite a journey to get here – the story of me - growing up in the 70’s with not a lot of money, trying to find employment in the 80’s, being a teenage mum in the 80’s, being a single mum in the 90’s, building a career in the 00’s… leaving the corporate world and a successful HR Career to HR Director for a Global Company, to start out on my own in HR and then leaving all that behind me to stand in my truth today as a Medicine Woman, Shamanic Practitioner, Energy Healer & Sound Alchemist (yes, this is my actual ‘job’) This is ME!

All of this brought failures and successes… I’ve lived in poverty, and I’ve lived in prosperity… I’ve been married and divorced in my early 20’s, lost two babies in two ectopic pregnancies in my early 20’s, gone through IVF treatment in desperation for more children, loved with all of my heart, been cheated on, had failed relationships, had my car repossessed, fallen into debt and almost had my home repossessed twice…. I thought all of that broke me.

BUT it made me, none of that made me a lesser person - it made me human…. I’ve struggled, I’ve been blocked, bullied, abused, traumatised, broken, heartbroken, challenged by adversity, I’ve been to my own version of hell….

And dragged myself out of the darkness of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts and plans to end it all, stamped out addictions to over consume food, alcohol, drugs, and material objects, damaging decisions and broken habits that kept me prisoner in a self-fulfilling prophecy of self-loathing, and silencing the all-consuming thoughts that enslaved me into suffering and turmoil.

This is why I AM, and who I AM today, all these ‘experiences’ - the story of me - means that I understand YOU, I totally empathise with what YOU’RE going through or have gone through... I get YOU… I SEE YOU, I HEAR YOU, I FEEL YOU.

This is why it’s such a joy to welcome beautiful souls to my offerings in Coventry & Warwickshire and across the UK for Group and 1-2-1 sessions and ceremonies..

It’s an honour to be in-service and of-service, to help people to turn a corner and transform their lives. This is why I pour so much love, care, and attention for each person in all of my offerings.
